Why Vegan?

Q: Hey weirdo, why did you become a Vegetarian?

*A:  Well it stemmed from a series of events really. There was an incident with some uncooked chicken [I forgave my mother a long time ago] and then I swore off meat forever. It was a rash decision and then I wasn't prepared or desiring of what 'no more meat' meant. Over time, I came to realize the physical benefits of 'no more meat' and I enjoyed them. Among the pros were lower body fat percentage, more energy, cleaner bowels and digestive tract, and an overall feeling of lightness. I liked being a vegetarian. But I didn't like the looks and questions I got when I had to turn down offer to share a bite of a friend's hamburger or chicken nugget....

Q: OMG, Christyn why the heck are you a Vegan?

*A: I wanted to take it to the next level. It wasn't just abou the weight loss probability... but that was so very tatalyzing. I needed to take control of my body. I didn't want to be controlled by every passing urge of my stomach or sweet tooth. Being a Vegan is me deciding that I truly care about what I put in my body. I don't want to eat certain things. Not eating those certain things makes me fall into the category of, well, Vegan.
I don't look down on anyone else because of what they eat or do not eat. I'm not changing my religion or loosing it.
