There And Back Again: A Lover's Tale

Greetings.

I am so happy right now. I just came back from my road trip adventure of going to see my sailor. He looked so handsome in his uniform. But I'm getting ahead of myself... :D

His parents and I packed up Wednesday night and left from their lovely little home early (extremely early) Thursday morning. We embarked on the 13 1/2 hour drive happily: just the thought of seeing him made us glad to travel any distance. It was hard for them though because I know they were tired. They never once said a negative word though and they made me feel so welcome for the ride.

His brother flew in from Arizona to surprise him. We picked him up at the airport that Thursday night. I was so geeked after we checked in to our rooms on base that I could hardly sleep. But I did end up getting a couple hours of snooze before the big graduation day.

Like the guy in the middle. See?
We woke up at 5am, breakfast was served at 6am. We made our way over to the hall where the ceremony would be held. We sat around watching the auditorium (with bleachers) fill up slowly. We sat right in front of his division's sign, right in the first two rows. I was sooo excited to see him. The graduation itself didn't begin until 9am.

They marched in and I got my first glimpse of him in nine weeks. He was so slim and fit and handsome in his dress whites.

At the very end they called Liberty and we ran to look for each other. It really was something special. I wonder if his brother got that on camera, it would be so awesome. But here's a peek at what Liberty Call is like.

We were so happy to see each other and he was so glad  and surprised to see his brother from Arizona. We spent the day together after a few minor details were tended to (like getting his cellphone turned back on and his curfew for liberty figured out). We had lunch at a Thai place not too far from the base because that's what he wanted. I didn't like the food there much. But at least we got to spend hours together just laughing and joking around.

Soon we had to take him back to the base. He had already told us that we'd have to, and that he'd leave for the airport that night. We met him there in the wee hours of the morning. His flight was set to leave around four or so in the am. So I got a couple hours rest and woke up around midnight to get to the airport. We brought him his cell phone and a duffel bag with his personal stuff that he couldn't have during basic training.

I cried. I know he did too. His mother did as well. It was hard saying goodbye after such a short time to visit. We'd been apart sooo long. It's ridiculous and I was so sad to have to let him go again. But a bright side was that now he could use his cell phone. We could text and talk and stuff....

But nothing will compare being able to wrap my arms around his waist and reach up on my tip toes to plant a kiss on him. Nothing.

And we drove back, after we said goodbye.

I did cry later on when I got home. But at least he could text and call me. And we talked all the time. It really does help to be able to be in contact with him this often; especially after all those weeks without the sound of his voice.

It still hurts sometimes, but I'm glad that we are strong enough to make it this far. It says wonderful things about our future. I'm proud to know him, and privileged to have him.

Come on girls! You know you can't resist a guy in uniform!!! XD

His feet. XD

Picking Up the Digital Pieces

Greetings.

It's been a long almost two months and I tell you. So much has happened. I am still working on campus at my school. I'm still the secretary of phi theta kappa... what was that other thing...? Hm..

Oh, yeah.

I'm the girlfriend of a U.S. Navy Sailor Recruit.

I know, I know. It's a lot to handle. I know you probably wanna punch me in the face for dropping that bomb on you and then doing the disappearing act for like ... 2 months. But hey.... you can forgive me right? :D

Look @ that face.... how can you say no?
Thank you. So kind.

Here's the new update (I'll try and make this quick):

1. I'm in love. And believe me that's no small thing for me to say.
2. It's serious.
3. He's graduating from Basic Training next week.
4. I'm nervous as H.E.Double-Double-Hockey-Sticks.
5. I'm starting my penultimate semester this fall (graduation pending spring 2013).
6. I'm now a licensed Zumba Fitness Instructor.
7. I plan to teach [Zumba] classes while attending classes.
8. I am kind of hyper on coffee right now....
9. I am waiting on Financial Aid and Advising to let me register for my classes which is proving to be a big pain in the thigh, because I hate waiting to the last minute for these types of things... >_<

I think that's it....for now.

I thank you for anyone who had the patience for wait for this post (lol). And I thank you newcomers who probably will look upon without malice as the first post you read by me. :D

Here it Comes

Pride and passion
Truth and love
Honesty and Justice
Here it Comes
Here he Comes....

Reason/Inspiration

That was very random,  and the reason was merely to get back on track for my blog. I still think I'm going for a poem (as often as I can, not a day...) or short story when I can. So yeah. And the inspiration was from the thought of my Sailor Recruit becoming a  Sailor in the World Finest Navy. :D

Closing/Future

In closing, I'd like to say, hopefully I'm here to stay and pick up the digital pieces. ;D I want to get back to writing here regularly just stretch my imagination and get used to writing for my degree in the four year I choose to attend next.

Ta.

Go Navy

Greetings.

I'm back. Glad to see all your smiling cyber faces. I bet you're wondering why I have Navy camo for my background now....

Well, first thing's first....

1) I'm dating. :) Yeah, I know.
2) He's in the Navy.
3) He just left for Boot Camp.

So yeah, there have been more than a few developments. I moved. I'm still in the same state... the same one I still prefer not to reveal.

And now I have to go. So I'll get back as soon as I can... :/

I Sowy...

Greetings....?

I know its been too long. I know I don't deserve to utter that phrase to your destitute ears... yet I cannot help myself. I will keep running back to you!

How are you?
Did you miss me?
Wonder where I've been?

No...?

:(

Ok.

Well, I'll tell you anyway. I've been working like a Hebrew slave to make sure I keep my 4.0 GPA! That's what I've been doing!!

LOL.

But anyway. It seem like I never have time to blog anymore. I just have to start thinking about it more. Stop putting it off. Put it in the forefront of my mind...

Yeah...

I have no poem. I suppose you aren't surprised... Sigh.

But here is an awesome song I like right now! :D

5am Bedtime & Britpop

Greetings.

Where were you while we were getting high? Champagne supernova in the sky....

Man, Brits are cool.

Let me tell you about this fiasco I been through over the latest weekly play for Play Analysis. I've actually gotten used to the whole read a play a week thing, but this time, I think she went overboard. She switched the plays last minute. I had almost missed a copy the week before, so I went ahead and got the next one early.... the next one on the list that is. And she goes....

"Well, guys, I know most of you probably  have the next play already, but I think we're just gonna skip it for now and come back. We're gonna go ahead and do Blues for an Alabama Sky....."

And I'm sure the whole class was like.... F***...

And I was like "Great.... freakin... great...."

So yeah. I just ended up gritting down... bearing it... and reading the thing right now.

Yes... It is now  approximately ... 4:30 am.... where I am....    >_>

Listening to this:

You can imagine where my sanity level is...

So... Good night... err Good morning.... to alll

World Literature

WORKOUTMANIA

Greetings.

Today I was pumped outta this world!!

First I went to school (didn't have to walk) and got to the library early. I was praying that they'd have the play I'd requested for Mrs. O'Shea's class. And it was there! I was so happy. And what's even better: I finished reading the whole things before class in like 1 and a half hours. I was so excited! Then, I rode with Kahlia to get her healthy lunch and we came back to a fun lunch break at the office.

Right before I was about to settle into the desk, Mrs. Harris told me to run over to a workshop that a student we all know was putting on. No one was there, which can be very discouraging, I know. So Kahlia and I went to support her. It turned out to be phenomenal! The two panelists were very informative and we got some nuggets I'm sure will come in more than handy in the near future. And we got free lunch!

When I got back to the office, it was very lively with some of my favorite people keeping me company until it was time to clock out! I'm telling you its like the day flew right by.

Then at Zumba we had a new very intense instructor filling in for Mrs. Pamela. It was awesome. But the cardio funness didn't stop there! Oh, no. We, Kahlia and I, kept going in the gym for another 40 mins in the Gym doing the elliptical and cardio on the treadmill. I just felt like I could go on and on today. But now I've eaten my free lunch (yes from the workshop earlier) and parked myself in the computer lab to write this post.

My new best friend is Songza and Playlist.com for my music fixes. Here's a taste of my new pumped up preferences! ;)

Drawing
Design
Languages

I want to do it all. I want to be so many different things. And I want to be known for all of it.....

And I plan on covering all the bases.

Megaforce

Greetings.

I feel the megaforce while I'm building my new playlist on playlist.com. I love all the music I'm finding; stuff I haven't heard in years. I got my work done in time last night and today.

Tommorow I have to wake up extra early though so I can go to my dance class. Social dance, or so it says. I think we'll be doing a form of ballroom dance. Shrug.

I'm so very tired so I'm going to go now. You can listen to this song in the mean time. :D

Childish Moment

Greetings.

Gonna catch a case if I don't get his whole albums on my mp3 instead of these random tracks. My mind can't take it yo. I need Childish Gambino like a crack addict.

Aside from that, I'm about to hit up these [last minute] Play Analysis Questions for Waiting for Godot. I'm telling you, this play is nothing for the faint of mind. I keep saying it and I ain't ashamed: my brain imploded several times over the Spring [no]Break. Oh, by the way... that was last week. Which is why I didn't post.... that whole time...  notice how I slipped that in there really slick.....

Anywho... I got Kid Cudi condition too. His voice is eva-sexy. Yes, I just created a word. Get on my level.

Couplet X 4

If I tip toe on top of this verse
I can slide through this rhyme
And fly over these chords
that writhe on my mind.
When I'm done, I'll take a walk
under this talk, just a little chat.
And then I can fall back
to my tiny tippy toes.....

Reason/ Inpiration

No reason. Random dubstep song is inspiration for just about any and everything.

Closing/ Future

In closing, I'm going to need this darn Childish Gambino station to play CHILDISH GAMBINO.... and nothing else.... is there a way to make it do that??? If not, I may become upset.....

In the future, Pandora better get right. Or there will be trials and tribulations.....

>_>

Thank God for Liqui-Gels

Ugh, Greetings,

Because I'd be in pain otherwise. Today is a good day. Aside from the, now subsiding, pain, everything is just dandy. There is the cutest guy that is sitting in the office as I type this. I don't know who he's here for a meeting with, but I'm glad he's here. ;)

Anywho, I've got Zumba coming up in about a half hour. These liqui-gels better start kicking in more NOW. Or else it won't be pretty. I don't want to get ugly. But pain is an unmerciful goading ..... pain. See, even my writing is suffering from it.

Couplet 001:
Don't wither away.
Set here and stay.

Reason

Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie, Neal Shusterman.

Closing/ Future

In closing, I'm glad I managed to squeeze out something for this post. Or else I would have been mad at myself. Do you know how many posts I've missed, of course you do, what am I talking about. Sigh. Anyway. In the future.... you know.... stuff will happen....

blehh...
